This glossary will contain the main therms that people in Orthotics and Prostheses Technique use. My name is Laurence and I have been in Social Science program for two years now, but next semester I am going to change and go in Orthotics and Prostheses Technique. This glossary will be for those who doesn't know much about this program and help them understand a little bit more about it.
My topic is based on everything related to Orthotics and Prostheses Technique, like the main therms used and the main purpose of this technique.
Sometimes the therms used in everyday life do not always have the same meaning as those in a specific area such as orthotics and prosthetics, so there is poor communication, which can cause misunderstandings. My glossary avoids these errors, because the therms which creates this bad communication will be clearly explained and in a detailed way.
You can find twenty important therms to know, followed by their definition, an audio source that allows you to listen to how the word is pronounced, as well as photos at some of the therms for those who are more visual. There is also the translation of the word and finally, an example to help you better understand the meaning of the word within a sentence. To find some of the words for this glossary, I used a manual of a friend of mine who works in this field, and I also used some website for definitions. What I want you to do next is to go visit my glossary a bit, look at the therms and their definitions to better understand what it means so that afterwards we don't have communication problems!
